The inimitable Lamp of the months

"Orange Tiger"

Also these lamp's column is approximately out of one disk black, white and clear Baroque glass manufactured by Spectrum and an agate slice on it's top. Therefore the glass plate must be cut into long, small stripes and these than must be shaped with diamond tools that they will become mitres around.

This Baroque glass is, by fusing three glass sorts to a disk, particularly uneven. For the same reason it varies also strongly (about 100%) in the thickness. That makes a breaking difficult and sharpening particularly lengthy. All this only for the ongoing patern, which let the light look like something organic.

The name-giving orange link leads back to a crew of my favourite sport, i.e. to the American Football (and the Clemson tiger's) and again to the strategy.   Please click in a thumbnail below if you want to enlarge it.
