Here at last is the page with pictures of the newly crafted silver jewelry. These
14 pieces are just a tiny selection of my work from recent years.
These rings (like my lamps) have a special characteristic. They are not so easy for trained silversmiths/goldsmiths to copy.
The experts call my method a beginner's mistake. Soldering the setting between a strip at the top requires three-dimensional work.
They take two straight strips, solder them (on a flat surface) to the right and left of the setting, bend the ring, and solder it together at the bottom.
This is simpler (because it's essentially two-dimensional); however, it has the disadvantage that my continuous patterns of braided wire are almost impossible to achieve this way. Simple silver rings could be molded/3D scanned and cast.
This isn't possible with the interwoven combination of silver and gold.
